    Weapon-R Intake

Quick question.. are the Weapon-R intakes mounted behind the front bumper or elsewhere? Is it a CAI, or a Short Ram?
    And are they good quality?

So if I decided against the Weapon-R, what intake would be the next step up?

aye but this is a foam filter. I had one then took it off, one of the brakets holding it broke. Plus the maf doesn't sit right. When I took it off I noticed a very considerable loss of power (oi yeh its in my head my ass). I should dyno it to see the difference of stock box and cutout to weapon r intake and supertrapp. Now its just sitting on one of my shelves.

I have a Weapon-R intake and it work's great, depending on the Corolla year only Weapon-R and Injen make one, for the newer Rolla's AEM has a CAI. Both the Injen and Weapon-R are SRI's though.

I have Injen's CAI on my 2003 Corolla (part #RD2081). They also have a SRI for the 2001-2002 (part # IS2080). It is of very high quality and works well. http://www.injen.com/new_layout/pro...rp2/RD2065P.jpg
I've replaced the filter with a UNI dual layer foam pod filter for greater protection. I hear Weapon-R is of pretty flimsy quality...

pretty much, but the most important aspect of any intake is the filter element, b/c this is what determines whether or not you will receive that optimum flow rate and maximum filtering power... K&N has overdone itself over and over and they are truly the best- whatever intake your getting, do your car a favor and slap on a K&N, you wont regrett it...
