nice, my gf drives a red jetta and its a sweet lil ride. The inside is super comfy and sleek, so the new one is only gonna improve.

yeah, I just read a recent reliability report, and the top 3 were corolla, scion XB, and honda civic. Worst cars? both volkswagon jettas. WTF happened to that company? time to get the german engineers back in the drawing room.

Yeah...it doesn't matter what country the company/corporation bases it's r&d facilities...what matter's is where the designer that they hired was born & raised and from where they received their education. Well, just my opinion. (<-- it's sad how I have to add this disclaimer now)

Best reliability: Honda, and Toyota, Nissan still has a way to go. They only do performance, but cannot compensate for it.
Best safety: All Euros, they also are never on the auto-theft lists.

Honda needs to work on their transmissions, and toyota needs to work on their engines.

If I were to engineer a new car, it would have a Japanese SOHC Honda engine, with a Mercedes-Benz transmission, and the maintainence schedule of a Toyota or Honda.

Sorry that was random, but yeah no one should be biast against the new Jetta V, everybody here knows that it will make its mark somehow. I think they were trying to appeal to guys and girls. A lot of people state that it is a feminine car. Even tho' the word Corolla does mean a part of a flower. LoL I looked it up in the dictionary. Yeah I was bored.

Some of the best cars aren't built or designed in Germany. Britain is one of the top engineering countries in the world.
