*HELP* Disconnecting DRLs on a 2002

Hello everyone. Thanks for clicking this post. I have a question, I just installed HIDs on my dad's 2002 Corolla but I want to disconnect the DRLs. I've searched many places and forums already. The only luck I could find is that to disconnect PIN 23 on the "Runing Light Module". But for the one that I have, there is only PIN 1 thru 14. Could someone who has already done this or has a wiring diagram to the DRLS, please help me out
Thank you soo much and have a nice day!!!

Thanks so much man!! Yeah I've pretty much put everything back together now and I'll wait till tomorrow.

btw...There is a DRL fuse in the fuse box. When I disconnected it, the headlights don't come on anymore so I had to leave it on!!

The sticker color shouldn't matter. if you chomp the wrong one you can always crimp them back together, and you can always install a switch between the two incase you change your mind later. Just look for the module located as pictured in vamp's DIY, and locate pin 23 and disconnect (be careful to leave yourself enough slack on both sides so you can re-strip and crimp if necessary).

Thanks but like I've said. There is no pin 23. It's only 1 to 14 on mine.

I think that's how mine is labelled.... before the site went down a while ago, I had posted up some pics and DIY..

I'm at work right now, but I'll check later on tonight and let you know which one I disconnected.

hadn't had a chance to take a look.....I'll let you know as soon as i get the chance. :)

edit - do you happen to live in canada? That's the only reason i can think of why it would be labelled differently. I ended up going to Toyota and asked them to copy the wiring diagram for the DRL

Yes I live in Canada. Actually, I live in Toronto just like you!! I went to markville toyota yesterday and asked for a wiring diagram as well. I told them that I had to disconnect the DRLs and they said no.

    GHEY!!

I checked my 00 manual and it said the 14 pin plug is for Canada models the pin that matches pin 23 on the US market cars is PIN 2 it is listed as a ground wire.

If anyone need the wiring info for the 00 model PM me with E-Mail and I will get it to you. It may help you out.
