97 inside door panels (56k Warning)

Hey, anybody have this problem with the seals where the inside door handle trim goes?

Trying to change the gray carpet thingie....

The carpet/plastic things is sealed to the door panel with these.

The only way I see to get it out is by breaking them like so:

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it out without damaging the panel too much, or could tell me how they did theirs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Just drill them out like you would a rivet. Get the bit size the same size or slightly less than the hole.

why do you need them out? if your looking to line them with fabric, just use a screwdriver and some fabric glue, it's easy, it'll eevn work with thick fake fur, like in my car, i'll post pics tomorrow. unless your doing something sweet, like installing component speakers there! that would be rad.

*laughs* Nothing that cool. They're not screws, it's like plastic weld.

You're probably just going to have to break them off. There was something similiar when I redid my 93 door panels.

I have a few ideas on how I'm going to do it. I'll post it as soon as they're done.
