Ahh, well I feel sorry for the people who are impressed by an 3300 pound awd car that has a measly 200 hp that probably puts down 160-170 to the wheels.

How much did it retail for back in the day?

And go ahead and explain the 3SGTE (what model cars did in come in?)

If it ain't a Supra Turbo or MR2 Turbo engine..i'm not going to care.

Thats what hes getting at. The 3sgte is the MR2 turbo motor. Thats what makes the car so special.

Some people just aren't appreciating what this car is and the potential it has.

I will be the first to admit. I love my corolla for a daily driver. But performance wise, this is one of the slowest cars I have ever owned out of 16 cars. I have owned a 69 camaro and an 87 Buick GN that were both very fast, but not good handling cars. I have owned a 91 SE-R and a 97 SE-R both pretty quick for four bangers. Every car will have pros and cons, and those will all very based on the person describing them.

My first car was a 68 bug and I have always been a VW fan (just not the new ones, Well maybe the R32)

I love toyota's, but I am thinking about getting a Lincoln LS V8 after my car is paid off.

I have also owned a 98 Jeep Cherokee (chrysler) and had nothing but problems with it. So to me I would never buy a SRT-4 solely based on my past experience with a chrysler product. It may be a great car, but I am not going to try it.

I myself didn't really like that body style, but I think what people are impressed with is not the stock numbers. It's what the stock internals are capable of while still maintaining reliability.

Also, it may be the fact that a used one if you can find one can be picked up at a decent price.

The fact that a lot talk about wanting one but never get one could be because it is a rare car. That means that there are not many of them.

It's also a Toyota, so most on here may be partial to the toyota brand as well.

Brand Loyal Nazi's....which in this case..seems to be plenty of them.

What the fuck are you talking about?

How much do they go for anyway?
Wouldn't getting an MR2 Turbo just be the better route anyway? It's already RWD and a very good handling car.

and most people here are more than "partial" to the toyota brand.

Not as bad as Ford and Chevy wars... Just ask any nascar fan (which I am not).
Not if you want AWD. I hear there are several used in SCCA rally events.

What's wrong with loyalty to Toyota? Well made, good resale value, reliable. Well as long as morons don't do stupid shit like neutral drops in them.

What car would you pick and something within your reach? I think I may already know. Would it be the Dodge SRT-4?

i am going to suggest to everyone to cease "arguments" with mayezzzzz..... there really is no helping his situation on understanding why someone can like a car or brand and not be a "nazi"

its too bad you cant appriciate a well built performance vehicle for what it is

No no, there are tons of Brand Loyal people of all car companies, i'm aware of that, i personally think VW is the worst. BUT, on this website, i'm not saying everyone, there are alot of people who think Toyota has the best cars for performance, when indeed they loose in every category except maybe the vans or something stupid like that.

But if you getting into modding the engine heavy, RWD > AWD when it comes to have lots of power. UNLESS you rally, which i'm sure alot of people here do.

There isn't man, toyota does make good cars, that are reliable and good on gas...thats it. They really don't make anything that performs anymore.

If I had to choose a car $21000 and under, yes of course because it dominates in it's class.

Being Brand Loyal gets in the way of letting people see there are better options out there. If you like the car congrats, but some people here act as if it's god's gift, really. But there are better options out there to choose from. And you STILL don't make any fucking since with the "leave here and go warn people on AIM". I'm sorry your butthurt that i don't like "rare" and and overrated car.

LOL, IT WEIGHS 3300 POUNDS AND PUTS DOWN LIKE 160 HP TO THE WHEELS, THAT IS NOT A "WELL BUILT PERFORMANCE VEHICLE"
Seriously, I would give it to you if you'd just say, it's an awd compact from toyota so you think it's more reliable than the others.
