04 Corolla, 18" Rims, what tire size?

no u can go w/ a bigger series tire than that...225/40 will work

215/40/18 to keep your correct radius

04 Corolla, 18" Rims, what tire size?

Between today and tomorrow, I'll be purchasing some 18" Motegi rims for my 04 Corolla...for those that have an 03+ and 18's what tires should I get? (as far as specs)

im not too familiar with the 03s but im thinking since your going with 18s your going to need 35 series tires. something like 215/35/R18 should work

and with 215/40/18 it wont rub? I'm paranoid of buying tires and having everything all ready, and then when I go to install them they're too big or they end up rubbing.

Our tires our 195/65/15 (this is without actually checking mine, check yours to make sure)

A 215/40/18 is only about .8% too fast. When the speedo reads 60 you're actually going 59.5.

I have 215/35/18. I think they look the best. I used to have 225/40/18, they were OK, they did not rub but I didn't like the look.

but if u have problems wouldnt it be easy just to go get your speedometer corrected, may cost money but atleast its right. Or could u just put your stock tires next to your new tires and look?

225/40/18 is what TRD uses/recommends for the 03+ models. That's what i have and I don't have any problems w/ them. when your speedometer reads 60 mph you're actually going 60.3 mph

Chrome, do you have photos of what your current tire/rims look like now? I'm debating if to go with 225/40/18 or 215/35/18

I think cusa86 and I are in the same situation, I'll get the 22/40/18, I hope everything goes ok because I;m gonna have the Tein H tech springs too.

any1 knwo the recomended size for 17? my rubs like crazy with 3-4 people in the car

mine rub like crazy wit 4 people in the car, my tire is 205/40/16 on my 2000 corolla i had to get my fenders cut in the rear, most of the rubbing stopped but its still there over bumps and stuff

with the 215/35/18's and having just two people in your car, its shouldnt rub if u have coilovers, but if you have springs it will be a different story...my buddy got 18's on 04' and its sick...strongly advice you do the same...dont go 17's, too small
