When painting the interior, what's the best number of base coats and the best number of clear coats? Thanx.

i used the fusion on half of the side of my car...then i used vinyl dye on the other side. they are both about the same except that the dye sticks a hell of alot better. the fusion is not a miracle, hell it's not all it's cracked up to be. you will still need to be careful with it, otherwise you will get runs and fisheyes

I'm using Krylon Fusion. It's supposed to work really well for interior work.

What does Vynal dye usually go for?

I haven't done it myself so i could be wrong, but if you're painting the interior i think you'd be much better off using vinyl dye, and no clear coat.

Layering base coats and clear coat are for external finishes, in which case, you'd just have to use your best judgement after wet sanding each coat carefully w/increasing grit sizes.

You kinda just have to use your judgement, doing lots of light coats will be the best way to go. Krylong fusion is supposed to stick to plastic very well but I've never tried it so don't take my word on it. Regular spray paint sticks to vinyl amazingly well, havn't tried any types of dye except for my carpet.
