Disable annoying chime for seatbelts and reverse

So one thing that annoys me about my XRS is the annoying seatbelt chime (for driver and passenger). Now I always wear my belt, but dont need to be reminded as I normally back out and into parking spaces without my belt (I find it safer and have better view). I also find the reverse beeping annoying. I know if I am in reverse, and dont need an annoying beep to tell me.

I think the simplest method would be to remove the chime module but where is is located and can it be removed. Anybody done this?

Hmmm..I think you will have to live with it. The reverse one is there for a reason since Toyota decided to make a BMW/Audio/Benz like shift pattern and put the reverse right next to first. I have ran into one or two cases where I engaged the reverse instead of putting it into first so the beeper actually saved my tushy more than once. As for disabling the seatbelt one, you might want to confirm with Toyota that it will not mess around with your warranty in any possible way ( Toyota themselves would never do it since they consider them safety features).
