has anyone ever tried to use LED bulbs for turn signal or brake light?
if yes, how does it look like ( compare between filament bulbs ) ?

no but i've seen the used
They are complete crap, most useless things ever. i was driving behind a civic that had them and all they did were produce 4 quarter sized red dots for brake lights. our brake light housing are designed to reflect all avilable light out of the housing to light up the entire housing.. those useless bulb replacement LED crap has a too narrow beam angle. It might even increase your chance of getting rear ended if u use them for brake lights.

After I retro my HIDs next week i'm actually planning on doing an LED tail/turn signal mod, i've already laid out the circuits real basically in OrCad, and i'm ordering automotive Luxeon LED's. I'll let you all know how well it goes and make a DIY in the process.

i was thinking about the beam angle, too. the wide LED has 120 degrees beam angle. i am not sure if it is wide enough, by the way, i will wait the DIY result, cool
