gas just dropped about 20 cents today. it's now $1.86 for 87 octane, which is all that my corolla requires. i have a sneeking suspision it has something to do with the election.
it has always raised 20 cents instantly, then over the course of a week, it would drop back down 20 cents slowly. this is the first time it has dropped 20 cents instantly.

Today put in some premium 91 octane, at about $0.93/litre. Regular was about $0.83. In finding that it cost about the same to fill my XRS as it did my old 93 Celica GTS. It did have larger tank, and got worse gas mileage.

Filled up my XRS today for 0.91 cents/liter at Petrocanada. Regular is around 0.82 cents or so.

About $2.60 a gal for premium texaco or chevron... I don't even bother using any other brands up here, they have cheap dirty gas.
We refine oil into gasoline up here, and the f*ckers ship it out...
The gas at our pumps is imported, you believe that?!

I just came to the conclusion that I'm going to put premium in my tank all the time. You really don't pay much more for premium, maybe $3.30 more to fill er up. Why not put better gas in the tank? It makes me feel important. :p mmmm preeemiiiium

    $0.00 Hows that for cheap?

My neighbor, the one that insists on playing that “Rap” crap loud at 3:00am on Sunday mornings, came home a while ago with one of those Lincoln Nagivators.....the thing weighs about 6000 lbs.
He brags to me how he had a shop put a 36 gal tank in it, and with a few other extras the suck up vehicle (my invented name) set him back a cool 65 Gs.
Geeeeez I thought. If you got that kinda change jingling in your pocket, why are you living in an apartment complex?
I asked him what kinda mileage that critter got...he said if you have to ask, then you probably couldn't afford it.
I said yeah, I hear ya.
He went in....I got my siphon hose out and filled my tank.
Well several weeks went by, and I ran into his royal importance waxing his suck up vehicle, and I asked him what it was like having to fill that huge tank now that gas is over two bucks a gallon. He said that he had a real shock the first couple of times when he had to cough up 70 bucks, but he’s used to it now.
I just grinned. Then I asked him, hey what brand of gas do you get, when you fill it up...he said only the good stuff for him, none of that cut rate, low octane crap.
    That's good; I thought...at least I know what I'm burning now. hehehe...
And as for the noise on Sunday mornings....well I hope it never stops...because as long as it goes on, I know I'll have an endless supply of 93 octane.
    Ear plugs are cheap.
And having someone BRING you your gas for free, is the best bargin in town.

We're up to some JM$50+ per litre of 90 Octane (our highest pump gas) around my neck of the woods. That works out to around US$0.90 per litre, or more to the point, US$3.41 per gallon.

you do realize gas is going up to $5/gallon in the states by next summer? Where is all the oil we were promised from this war? You want to see something really sick? Pop in the movie die-hard when the cop is standing at the gas station.. Anyone guess what the gas prices were back then? (hint, it's less than a dollar)

Keep in mind I drive 124 miles round trip per day, so I typically fill up every 2.5-3 days, so I'm spending like $50 easily/week to fill up even in my efficient car.. I couldn't imagine driving an SUV getting half that MPG.

Jamaica recently signed a bilateral agreement with Venezuela to obtain oil at sub-Opec levels. We saw a US$0.10 drop in fuel prices within 24hours. I hope that trend continues...We're now down to around JM$50/litre (US$0.81/litre). It's even worse when you think about what percentage of the average Jamaican salary that is!
