Cuz they're big white guys driving lifted Chevy's that can easily run over me!! lol j/k. I just don't like it when people make the effort to come beside me and give me evil looks. In their mind they're remembering the latest car crash caused by street racing, and they see me as part of that problem.

My car is lowered w/ enkei 16" rims. I also have an ELP CAI. Before I got the muffler that's all I had and people never gave me any problems. Now that they can really hear me they're heavily stereotyping.

ive got the exhaust and neons to go with it. i just ignore them. the idoits around town pretty much know me now, ive had the car for 3 yrs now. they know i wont race and ive flat out told alot of them that i just wont do it.

I still drive like an asshole, but racing someone just because they see my muffler, get outta here.

The CON of owning this TRD Exhaust.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE STUPID RICERS!!!

Today alone I've had a newer model civic and older integra pull up beside me revving their engines. But these aren't the first couple times it's happened. Ever since I've installed this muffler I've had:

    - people taking off on me from a red light thinking that just because my car rev's loudly that I'm going to pull up and cut them off

    - riced out cars slowing down besides me and revving their engines wanting to race

    - and just plain evil stares from people PASSING ME as I cruise the speed limit.

An exhaust, in general, is truely a double-edged sword.

Dude I thought you were a nice guy, don't be an ass.

I called it a double edged sword, so that means there's benefits from it also.

unfortunately, this is one of the issues with slapping on a loud exhaust-your gonna get everyones attention, both good and bad, but mostly bad...im surprised your TRD exhaust isnt quietish, they usually are. but you may have to slice off the muffler and slap on a quieter muffler like dynomax or borla...

mostly whenever some dumbass pulls next to me or does stupid shit on the highway, i try to avoid them or ignore them..but if they're doing REALLY stupid shit like what happened to the SI, some faggot kept getting closer and closer till he ran me off the road..i will do my best to avoid them..either slow down a lot, and get way behind them, or get off the exit and get back on so i'm way behind them..

there's just some things you can't help..like a fat pig just wanting to pull somebody with a loud muffler over, and even if you show the trd certificate, they'll be like that's BS, show that in court, and then we'll figure it out..blah blah blah..i never ever try to accelerate when i see a cop in sight, i just kinda cruise by and let off the throttle and try not to make too much noise..

I don't really give a crap what people think of my exhaust unless it is a cop. Most of the time though I'll try to keep it quiet.

nah man, it's just the shape that makes people think you always want to race. assholes will be assholes just fuck em, why do you care if stupid people give you weird looks? it's their own problem they think that driving is one big fast and furious race...

i think you can expand your double-edged sword statement by replacing exhaust with "driving a modified car."

I haven't noticed anything at all...I can't even tell I have an exhaust anymore. The TRD one is so damn quiet. Now I can pass by cops and not give it a second thought...I love it!! :D

Well first off let me say that noise doesn't equal power. And it is true that many people think that if you have an exhaust that you want to race. But those people are usually ricers.

That is right, noise does not equal power, is the amount of stickers that you have that do! J/K

I also had the TRD muffler on my car along with the ELP cai, and I used to love the sound. Unfortunately sometimes it did get loud, specially on hot days, and when reving high to pass someone. I recently put my car back to stock to get it ready to be sold and I can't believe how much noise I was producing!

I can almost say withouth any hesitation that I like my car quiet more than loud, and except for when first taking off and hearing the exhaust, it is much nice to be cruising in a quiet car and being able to listen to music at a decent level. And honestly with the stock intake/muffler I really don't feel like I have lost any power.
