My other friend who has an 03 Black WRX has bronze 5Zigen 2 spoke. :) They look really good on his car and he swears by them. I think they look pretty clean actually.
Thanks.:) I want one so bad I don't think I can wait for the 06s though... ;]
Clubwrx.net is supposed to be a REALLY good forum.
Are you gonna still be around vvt-i?

Yeah I'll still check vvti every once in a while, probably not as much but I'll be forever interested in toyotas now. I've been checking out clubwrx.com and wrxtuners.com, both seem like good sites.

The dealer where I bought the car won't let people test drive the sti because some guy was driving one and took it into a ditch. I couldn't really figure out how people would decide to buy one if they can't drive it, I guess the managers are the only ones who are allowed to take a possible buyer for a ride.

Yeah the dealer in Columbus Georgia and Gardendale, AL won't let you really either. They say STi owners are really particular about the miles put on the car. I guess I can understand but dang its not that many really... :)

    LOL niiice.

Yah thats awesome, I'd love to drive a STI just to see what it's like. I assume it has some more torque which would be nice because the WRX doesn't pull super hard until the turbo spools up. Once it does though I wonder why I ever drove a corolla lol.

I'm noticing a lot of odd little differences between people modding WRX's and corollas. Everyone over there thinks a 1" drop is more than enough, over here I don't think anyone would notice you're dropped on 1". Everything is a little more performance oriented which I think makes sense cause you can drop $1,500 down and hit 280hp, sorry but not possible with a corolla.

Of course you can't drop $1500 for 280hp here -- but you'd need 160hp to make it..so it's not really a fair comparison. There's (almost) always something that can get faster cheaper..

That's kinda the point I was getting at with my thread about corolla owners needing to focus on performance. It seems like owners of other sport compacts focus more on actually making their cars faster, better handling, etc. For what you're going to pay in total for the WRX, plus any mods, you could definitely have more than 280 hp in your Corolla, but it's a matter of personal choice.

Well, when you start out with a car that is already putting out a good amount of power, and with the current cars, its easy to mod them and get more power out of them.

With the corolla, you really have to hunt around and commit to it.

Yeah didn't mean to start another "we shoudl be more performance oriented" thread. I just find it different, cause there's 25 different name brand exhausts to choose from. All of us go to an exhaust shop and have someone bend one for us, there's a couple knock offs on ebay for some of us. People over there are also spending 2 grand on a set of coilovers, pretty sure I havn't seen any of us do that.

True but then again, I want my car to look nice when I'm done modding it, not "slap-on" Which is what you normally get most times when people mod their car. :) If you want more HP/Torque, better handling, etc., buy a different car.

nabisco (nasioc) and i-club are the larger ones, tho nasioc is mostly east coast and i-club is more west coast. oh yeh and http://scoobymods.com/ has great DIY's.

First thing you should really do is remove the air resonator box inside your right fender-well. That way you'll get to hear the sweet sound of the turbo spooling up!

Funny you should say that cause I just did that 30 minutes ago. I'm painting my side skirts silver to match the car also (waiting for paint to dry right now). Do you have to pay money to see the pictures on scoobymods.com? Thats kinda dumb. I've been surfing around on clubwrx.net a lot but I'll check out these ones too. Thanks for the advice.

dood, i remember seeing one of these on the front cover of a "Sport Compact Car" magazine.....they did a DIY where they painted every part of their WRX flat black in someone's garage.....it turned out pretty cool and was very very sleeper-like......i really doubt you'd like to paint ur's flat black but i guess you'd have to be just as impressed by the pictures of the final outcome as i was.....here's the site but i dont think it has any pictures of the car closer up or in more detail...just the car on the cover...

Yeah actually I have that issue of sport compact car. I found it pretty interesting. I think if I had some crapped out crx project or something I'd try it but not on a basically new vehicle.

$1850 per month? It's something like that but every 6 months. I can't remember the exact price off the top of my head. It is expensive but I just got a new job to pay for this car so I'm going to make it work. Insurance rates are screwed up, the other two cars I was seriously considering was a 350z and a RSX type s. The 350z had the lowest insurance rates and the RSX(the least powerful) had the highest rates.
