    Just picked up a WRX

I dunno thought I'd share, I'm pretty excited. Might post pictures tomorrow but I think everyone can imagine a stock 04 silver wrx.

Corolla is still for sale by the way. mertou2@yahoo.com

Yeah, thats for sure. And you can tune a WRX to be faster than a stock STI.

WRX is great little beast. I see more STis these days than WRX, but in my opinion STi is a bit too much unless you do rally racing. It just looks a bit too silly for a monster like STi coasting on the road at 40 KM/H with a big wing on the back and big hood scoop.

Thanks for the comments guys. It's a 5 speed manual, 13,000 miles, picked it up for under 20 grand which I thought was a hell of a deal. The thing I'm really gonna miss is my blue paint, but I'll find a way to make silver work. Wish I could afford the sti but I actually figured for how much more they cost I could make the WRX faster than a STI. Here's a few pictures I took this morning.

I don't think I'm going to do much more than a drop and rims but if anyones got any suggestions that would be awesome.

Go completely catless, it'll boost the whp A LOT, not to mention make the car sound REALLY nice.

There's also supposed to be a few choices on gear sets for the tranny. Something about RA gears...dunno subarus all that well.

Nasioc or clubwrx are supposed to be pretty good forums for modding.

Rota makes alot of wheels popular with the subie guys. Get JDM headlights, some bronze wheels, a CF hood, exhaust, downpipe, boost controller and you're done!

I'm really afraid to put an exhaust on it because this car is so amazingly quiet that I love it. I'm all for the power addition but my dad just bought a 35 thousand dollar sienna and this is quieter inside the cabin. I think I'm going to get a real good suspension to start, I still have a lot of this car to pay off before I modify anything.

That's hot. I really wish my rolla was quieter inside. None of my friends come out and complain ever, but when I ask them, they all say it really is loud.

Sorry, I find it very hard to believe that a WRX is quieter than a new Sienna. I have sat inside a Toyota shuttle service Sienna and it is just way too quiet.

I personally like a louder engine...makes the car feel a lot more alive and lets you know how the car is responding to your inputs.

Oh, and very fine choice of car, I hope you enjoy it!

Loud but beautiful symphonic sound is the European way to sports cars and sport sedans.

Thanks for the comments. The WRX does have 3 cat convertors which probably explains why the exhaust is so quiet. The engine still makes a pretty good noise but as far as road noise the car is extremely quiet.

i am sure you enjoy having a clean, stock, reliable car. keep it as low maintenance as possible without all the modifications, b/c everything you add usually brings with it a tinge of frustration or something you would like to change. your car looks great, suspension sounds like a good capper.

i dont think you'd really even like rotas on a wrx

    Dude nice buy.
I was going to buy an 05 wrx, but I just read a Subaru paper for the 2006. They are putting the 2.5L Engine stock in the wrx instead of the 2.0L they got now. = More torque. :)
I hate you though, you beat me too it. Scoobys are SOOOOOO nice. :) Congrats and good luck with the new tuning project!!

My best friend has one with a 3" exaust all the way back(and punched 2 of the 3 cats). I kid you not it sounds like an 8 cylinder.

Yah I heard there was going to be some differences in the new WRX but I really couldn't afford a new one anyway. That would be awesome though, good luck getting one.

Rotas are pretty cool but I was thinking some 5-zigen 5 spokes, cant think of the name off the top of my head. I probably shouldn't even think about it because I need to sell the corolla and pay this thing off first.
