This thing has been worked very well.....it has big bore kit 8.8 compression, crowler rods, new cams (factory),new valves, seats and valve springs, head studs instead of head bolds, port and polish,a tweaked oil pump, thats all in the engine. now full catback with trd muffler and a injen short ram.

I have a turbo kit comming but who knows when it will be here but I am trying to find a celica gt thottle body and get some celica fuel injectors for it, maybe that will help my baby out. I dont know if I can if I can just throw them on and be on my way.

ok..... that engine sounds like it was prepped for turbo... but don't expect numbers to be decent at ALL without a turbo.... in essence, you make the engine stronger and lower the compression to handle the excess boost (so that you don't end up with way too much stress and compression in the compression chamber when you do turbo it)

    ? about my dyno test

I did some $$$$ mods to my engine. All I read about 2001 rollas they have 120 hp but I guess now that is not at the wheels I guess an I right about that anybody? I will put my dyno test on here as soon as I get it scaned. The problem is that I have an auto in mine how much hp loss do I get with it? How much hp loss do you folks think I lost going from 11.0:1 compression to 8.8? They said I am running way to lean....... so I have to find out how to add more fuel to it they said that it will get me more.I hope they are right.just let me know.........I am a little mad about the results from it

host it at imagestation or photobucket

or put it on cardomain and send a link over there

Ya when i got dyno tested i had about 128 WHP with a couple mods and i then understood that the stock 130 for me is not WHP. Did they just dyno and not tune? Talk to racing solutions, he jsut put larger fuel injectors in and you can also get the APEX'i S-AFC and take it to one of their places to have redo your air/fuel ratio....

    good luck!

the link doesn't work....if you are trying to go through yahoo briefcase they just switched it to you have to pay to have a public file...otherwise it's just private...what a bitch huh?? I was hosting myspace videos and they pulled that crap...haha maybe it was cause of me?

anyways that does seem a tad low for HP if you did some mods. What mods did you do? I also saw you posted the different compression ratio's. If you went to a lower compression to prepare yourself for boost then thats why you are probably running lower numbers.

ok i just read the thread you had posted in...it was the MWR big bore kit post. So i'm assuming you did get the 8:1 look at a couple posts above yours...they say unless you go with the fuel management system and larger injectors and stuff you'll definitely see the loss in horsies until you decide to go with boost. Now that you have the low comp stuff you can go with a lot more boost. Now if you already have boost then ya big problemo....

dude, we told you that your numbers are going to go down when you lower your compression like that....just think about if you have half a liter of soda in a 3 liter bottle and you shake it up, sure it is going to make a sound when you shake it up and twist the cap, but it is going to make a louder sound when you put that half a liter in the liter bottle. Now that you have low compression pistons, you need to add fuel o2, and spark to make use of it

^^^ what they said. You are all set for the turbo but until then you got a slower rolla. It's just the facts for now. But once turbo is here you will have the ability to boost a lot more and have your engine handle it safely. But until the turbo, fuel management, and all that other stuff....you look like you got the right numbers...

you have prepped your engine for turbo, but the axels for the 98-until vvti don't hold the mid 200 hp well. I think vortex or someone on here has popped one, so you might want to look at fortifying that before too long, and also fortifying the tranny

axels... LoL he built wrongly in my opinion...

you now have a car that roughly puts out what it does at stock with drivetrain loss etc...

problem is our axles arent too bad but our trannys are... manuals hold up to 250 torque or so max but have died with a lot less 200 or so...

you hit 200 torque at 7 - 9 psi depending on turbo...

before you can ever bump up boost you need a new trannny... c2gas in europe can hook you up for like 3500 I think it is....

then worry about axles.... this car is expensive to get fast because once you hit 7 psi you need internals and transmission both done and which wont come cheap at all...

    have fun and good luck..!!

yeah i shattered one... not sure how much of it was turbo related however - it was shattered at the threaded end where the axle meets the steering knuckle - looking back i'm thinking those dumbshits that rebuilt my auto tranny last year torqued it too hard - at least it was under warranty

currently rippin around pretty regular at 14.5 psi (10.5 sea lvl) and haven't had any problems... *knocks on wood*

make sure you get it tuned as well... when we first put together a certain someone's turbo it was only 170 whp when he brought it to the tuners... I think... bad memory when it comes to his car... haha...

P.S. also get a good fuel pump and injectors

vortex your probably close to the limit on both the internal and tranny...

check out newcelica.org and spyderchat.com i think its that at least and they have vbarious posts on exactly what needs to be replaced as some peopel have some very high and are getting very high hp numbers... I think MWRacing MRs is at liek 20+ psi last I heard makin the power record for the 1zz

I dunno I dont want to switch to the euro 6 spd as that requires a lot of import fees... in the end whatever will work out... he may only do a 6 spd us version...

oh and ask vortex if you want to go from auto to manual!!
