anyone else notice the trd corolla is 5 years ago's corolla (98-00) ? lol

i realize the XRS is basically the new TRD rolla, but I think they should make a TRD corolla S, factory equipped with all the trd parts (namely the s/c)

Well actually no. The bumper is a different shade of white. I have the same corolla, same kit. The reason is because for the bumpers, they put in a special ingredient. This helps it for if some reason the bumper bends, it doesnt chip. This ingredient is used in the paint more flexible...thats why its a diff shade then the rest of the body. THe front bumper is the same. I know because the place that replaced my bumper told me....

i dun think they would go thru all the trouble to paint the car separately, most shops paint the whole car entirely other than the doors cuz of the door jams, sometimes even the trunk and the hood, but i dun think the rear bumper, i guess it was just a lighting prob cuz the trunk seems to be the same problem

Again..NO.. I know the colors are a bit off because i drive a white corolla. Its not the image or anythign. The bumpers are painted separately. Once painted, they are installed on the vehicle. Nobody paints the bumpers and chasis of the car together, if they did, they would miss a lot of spots......especially between the cracks!!!

I have a white 01 but my bumper matches exactly. My wife though has a 99 camry and when we bought it, the rear bumper matched perfectly. Now her rear bumper is way off. The front still matches fine. But I have noticed a lot of camry's of her body style in her color (beige) the same thing happens. There are two people I work with and both their cars have the same issue.

Again, When i had my bumper replace, the flex material they add to the bumpers make it a tad bit off. But thats because the flex material makes the paint more flexible. It'll prolly only be in white cars becase other colors might be too dark to affect the colors.
