Foam/Styrofoam and Pedals - 04 Corolla

    Foam/Styrofoam and Pedals - 04 Corolla

    I noticed that there is a small bump under the carpet right under the gas pedal. I was feeling around and found out it is like foam or something. I didn't have time to take the carpet out to see exactly what it was. Does anyone know what this is for? Will I do any harm taking it out? That bump is a little uncomfortable...

    Also what aftermarket dead pedal would fit in the stock ones place? I want it to be flat, instead of that huge box we have there. I guess if I change that, I would change the other pedals as well to make everything match.
