Toyota shouldn't give you a problem if you drop with TRD springs. If you go lower, wouldn't they have to prove that the lower suspension caused the damage to whatever you took it in for?

I called in my dealer because I had the same question, one guy told me it had to be with TRD Suspension which he was trying to sell to me. Then I spoke to someone else at the dealiership and they told me that modifying my car will not necessarily void my warranty.

I also researched it online, and there is a law called the Magnuson-Moss Act and it basically states that doing any aftermarket mods to your car cannot void your warranty unless the dealer can prove that the part you installed on your car is what messed up your car to begin with. For example, if you have an intake on your car, and something goes wrong in your engine, they have to prove your intake is what did the damage.

I have the Tein STechs sitting here and I still haven't dropped my car, I'm waiting to get some rims first.

Its called the Moss Act. They cant void warranty work unless the mod you did actually effected the broke part. So unless you care about the warranty of your springs then dont worry about it.

EDIT: just noticed the previous post, sorry for repeating. Yeah the Moss act is for real though.

I don't know it depends on the dealer really if they give you a hard time. I have a 04 and I just put Tein S on it.

It DOESN'T depend on the dealer. Read the above posts. It can only void the warranty if they can prove that the springs is what caused the problem.

I meant that it depends on the dealer if they give you a hard time not void the warranty all together. Some dealers are cool with aftermarket.
