    SHarpie method?

Hey GUys, i just tore apart my interior and found all the bulbs and stuff for my console. Does coloring all the bulb coverings with a sharpie marker actually work? or do they sell the plastic condom-like covering anywhere?

I have heard that you can color with marker (not sure how long it will last though with the heat involved) The covers are available in different colors at the auto parts store. If you are not changing your color scheme be advised the aftermarket colored covers are different than the OEM covers (they are a darker color and if you just change a few they may not match your others) I ended up going to the dealer to get the OEM covers. I still have a love for that Japanese green illumination. CW

If you want to change your scheme save yourself some trouble and just change to leds... i colored my bulbs and changedsome w/ some aftermarket factory colored ones... you'll like it for a while... but LEDs are the way to go they last way longer, give a better lightin effect and a bunch of other advantages on coloring or changing for some other normal bulbs.

search the forum and theres a bigass thread all about this.

Another very easy way is to purchase translucent nail polish. ou can buy it in damn near any colour you want, and to get it off just use nail polish remover. A little tip I learned from my grandfather who used to do this as a regular thing on his job for the hydro company; it also works very well as glue, because that stuff dries hard as rock.

Did I mention that it's cheap as dirt? Especially compared with buying all new bulbs
