pulling out an engine is not easy, it can take a while, even if you are sloppy with it. it would take hours on my 97 rolla and on a newer rolla, with such a tighter fitting engine, it would not be worth it. first you'd have to figure out a way to get the hood up. you'd have to take off the tires, get out the drive axle and the steering arms...then unmount the engine bolts, oh yeah, disconnect all the exhaust and fuel lines, not to mention the electrical stuff. disconnect all the hoses, like radiator and brake vaccuum and air conditioning. then, maybe you can lift it out, but you'd need a lift and you'd probably want to take the tranny off first too.

this story has to be BS or someone with alot of skill and the correct tools had several hours to pull this off. why wouldn't they steal a subaru or corvette engine?

Pic's would have helped if you caught who did it and they deny'd and you needed pictures of your engine before and after... then a picture of what they had to match it too...

I am 50/50 on this one though, not enough to call bs...

If it's still under warantee you should bring it to the dealership and say, "I think something is wrong with the engine."

    New Engine

    Hi,
Maybe I just didn't catch but did anyone tell him where he could get the Celica GT-S engine or how much it costs??

I love my corolla but this engine really suck. I have TRD CAI, TRD Exhaust, Mod Chip and Headers but I am still no satisfied. If you guys really think that I can really fit a Celica engine in it please let me know!!!

it takes like an hour to taken an engine out, a professional car thieve doesnt take that long

while we were in atl for nopi, 2 trucks got stolen from our hotel

    Yukon and Denalli

both on 24 and ready for show, they were stolen between 2 am- 5 am, cops found them behind the hotel, only thing sitll on the trucks was the cab, they had engine, interior, bed, rims, everything

its definatly not impossible to steal an engine in an hour

plus if the car is maybe a year old, wouldnt it be easier to pay to get the engine fixed if there is anything wrong with it, then to have the whole thing replaced, and another thing, if it was done by him, why pay someone to take it out when you can also put the minoey into fixing it,

it would be understandable if he was getting an engine swap, but VERY unlikly anyone would do t just got get it replaced
