Wheel & Tire choices, any suggestions?

I'm going to get some 16" rims and bridgestone blizzak 205/45HR16 tires.
Locally I can get the blizzaks for $154 ea, just for a limited time because they're having a sale. Tirerack.com has them for the same price *including* 2day air shipping. Guess what, normally they would be $206 ea locally! Can you believe that? Crazy, anyways... I can get my tires here or internet for a reasonable price. Mind you, I'm in Alaska, 5k mi from anywhere important...

American Racing AR-86 Silver 16" Wheels and Blizzak 205/45HR16 LM-22 83H locally are $1262 mounted and balanced.
I think I can get them from the internet but in CHROME with the same tires for the SAME PRICE /w shipping.

I'd get the tires from tirerack...

I originally picked out the Kazera KZ-V 16" silver and Blizzaks from Tirerack.com. I still like them alot. check em out... http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Disp...%2FMachined+Lip
The KZ-Vs and Blizzaks would be $1164 total shipped 2day air. I little cheaper than the AR's...

How does crome plate hold up? We dont use salt up here, we use gravel. Instead of corroding our cars we crack the windshields.
So what do you think? Is chrome the way to go? What style do you think looks best?

    Thanks for the input...

hah. thanks... Everything up here is extremely expensive. Alot of frieght is air shipped.

well I went ahead and got the AR chrome rims. I really wanted chrome, and the performance factor wasn't real big because I don't race. I just want a nice looking ride with some cool mods.
So, I should be getting them next week.. Now to shell out $600 for tires. Thanks everyone for the input, don't have many people to talk to about car stuff. When I get them on I'll post some pics...
