Anyone here have any luck with 16x7 Wheels on 205/45/16 Rubber with a +38 mm Offset? I'm worried about the back end of the car. I don't want any rubbing under the fenderwell. Thanks in advance.

I run a 16x7 wheel, 38mm offset - 205/45R16 tire - OEM springs and struts - no rubbing at all. Corolla spec'd the offset range to be from 35mm to 45 mm - max tire width is 7" (205mm tire).

Even so - some tires are slightly larger (wider) than others. Example - Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 fit with no problems - Yokohama AVS ES100 rub the fender lip. Measure them and the Yokos are about 3/10s of an inch wider than the Kumhos. Tirerack.com will usually have the specs for the tires so you check on that.

In that case - the only work around is to roll the fender lip and trim off some of the plastic from the mud guards (if installed) to keep it from rubbing. If you have any kind of a drop - might rub with a 16", probably will rub for sure with a 17". Depends really on tire choice and offset.

    Good Luck.
