I just looked... When the car is sitting flat on the ground, the very bottom of the steering knuckle arm (where the tie rod end connects) is hitting the very top of the sway bar. When the car was all the way up in the air, the boot of the tie rod end was hitting the sway bar. It only seems to do it if you're practically making a u-turn.

If its going to be difficult to deal with Hotchkis on this I might just take a couple millimeters off the top of the sway bar ends. It appears theres plenty of metal there as is.

if it's hitting the knuckle and it impedes turning (even if it's just in certain situations), I would contact Hotchkis about it. The piece wasn't well engineered if you installed it correctly and it's hitting parts on the car. It doesn't make sense to pay $300 or whatever for a piece that doesn't fit right.

Let us know if the problem is solved once you get them put on. So far, this is the only thing keeping me from getting these...

Hey I noticed you keep bragging about going to the canyons or whatever. I've been going to a certain pass for about 3 years and I've never seen any other same model Corolla there and most people that go regularly know my car. What pass do you run?

I have the same problem when I make a left u-turn. I called Halfwits and they said to email pictures of where it's hitting and they'll contact me about a new, redeveloped front bar.

So you guys say that these will fit a 93-97 also? I checked my car out and it has the rear sway bar. But the front doesn't even have one, or a mount for one.

You'll mind a set of these when you pan out your hard dough and have to listen to how fuckin noisy they are!! They always creak. I miss the days when my car used to ride smooth and quiet. This is the shittiest mod I have done yet!!!

shittiest mod?just becuase its a little noisy? Does it make cornering flatter? if it does its doing its job. And it will only creak if the bushings aren't greased properly. take some tephlon tape and wrap everything. if you don't like turning then invest in going in a straight line.

ah the wonders of custom parts that r produced w/out the car or produced w/ the car and not tested in driving conditions...Rolla people don't get your hopes down, this kit will be problem free one day hopefully soon, i've learned when a part comes out for the Rolla, to let other people be the first to play with it so they can get everything worked out for all of us, i'd be the rat, but just don't have the time, so i just be patient and wait for it to be ready to go for sure...hope they resolve the problem soon, cuz i wouldnt mind a set of these

As you can see I re-greased the bushings several times and the noise keeps coming back. Hotchkis claims they have a new front bar in development. We'll see....

It's great to pay a lot of $$ to be a lab rat
