    Ground Fusion Grounding Kits

Would you guys be interested in this if the company was to make some for the corolla? There kits are not universal, they are made specific to the car with detailed instructions.

*bringing a dead thread back*... I just got a set of ground fusion wires custom made for me since the guy's located in Maryland. He looked over my engine bay and showed me all the factory ground points on there. We regrounded my battery in 4 places since it was in the trunk he used 7 wires to ground the engine. My car runs even better than before with a smooth idle, no power loss on my volt meter when opening windows, and the AFR quickly returning to 14.70 when letting off the gas and coming to a stop. He'll need a stock setup (battery in the front) Corolla to make a kit if anyone's interested.

Cause he used really good high strand count wire with good terminals (which are $5 a pair usually) that are properly crimped using a professional bench mounted crimping tool. He's also been doing it for a few years now and was able to find the best ground points for the engine to use as well as explain to me why he choose them and why he used common grounds and flat grounds when he did. It only took a few hours for him to do if someone in MD is interested in getting a kit done up. He's in Mount Airy.

do you know about how long it'd take him to make the kit? i'd definitely want one if the price is right, and i'm gonna be going away for a week in august so i could "donate" my car while i'm away.

Just out of curiosity they look just like 4 gague wires and terminals? Why no do this yourself? I know I did, and helped a whole bunch of people do it. There is a place in the internet that we bought the wires and terminals for around 30 bucks, and if you want to go all out you can even chage your battery terminals with better ones for less that 50 bucks with shipping. I saw his prices and he is lookign to get ~65 for each kit. Just want to know if there is anything special about this that a DIY would not accomplish.

That's one of the big ones for me-- I think it's pretty poor voltage regulation when using a power window the lights go dim-- especially when rolling them all down at once as I'm wont to do on a hot summer's day to vent the excess heat...

Thanks for the pics-- I may try my own home-brew grounding kit.

thats a do it yourself job.
even the material is available at Lowes.
there are plenty of write ups online to guide you where to ground the engine.
no need to buy a kit..

We got our wires from the internet, and they are 4 gauge oxygen free copper with 1666 strands Stinger HPM wires for 1.25 per foot. You need like 10 feet and still have some left.

4 gauge gold plated connectors with silicone rubber boots are 2.25 per 4 and then you can still crimp them very well with an assortment of tools. You just have to be creative.

I did a similar regrounding and the idle felt smoother, but never did it do any miracles. I know that it takes time and labor to do this type of thing, but looking at the grounding points that is exactly where I grounded mine minus the back of course (no batter relocation)

You can definitely do it cheaper and can be a DIY.

Well, I did have mine done DIY, but this setup works better.

I went back down to Ground Fusion this weekend with two 97 Corollas; one auto and one manual.

The auto, which had it's grounding kit replaced with the Ground Fusion one, noticed an immediate performance gain. It had higher and more steady voltage readings (from ~10V idle to 12V+ idle) as well as a noticable torque increase when hitting the gas.

The manual had a noticable increase as well:

"after my ECU finally set itself, it was beautiful. my engine is extremely smooth at idle, can't hardly tell it's on. definitely more torque pull on the highway, and my engine doesn't feel like it's straining @ 5000 RPM. and everything is just a lot smoother."

FYI - I'll get getting my wires re-done tomorrow so after that he should be able to start producing kits for all 98-02 rollas
