    capacitor installation question

I charged my new RF 1 farad capacitor the other day, but I was interrupted and had to leave it alone instead of installing it right then. Well I wanted to make sure that it was topped off (don't want sparks flying everywhere when I install it), so I put the charge card back on and went about topping it off. The manual says when the green LED goes OFF, it is charged. Well, it came on like it was spose to and i held it on there for like 10 seconds or more and it still didn't go out. Not wanting to damage it, I took it off the battery and this is where I am now. Asking for advice. lol Should i try to discharge it according to the instructions and then recharge it? thats the only idea i have. Any help would be great

discharge it and redo it. It shouldn't take long to recharge it so just wait that 10 seconds or so and make sure its completely topped off.

yeah, plug a 12 volt device that you dont car about into it, like an old neon. that will discharge it. or if your card that came with it has the option, discharge it that way, then recharge, it really only takes less than 10 seconds to recharge

If your capacitor came with the card chip looking thing then all you need to do to discharge is touch the 2 wires together until the lights turns off or something like that. To recharge a cap you bolt up the card thing on it and just hold the positive and negative to the battery. And yes it should take no longer then ten seconds cause mine only took about 5 seconds.
