    Plexiglass windows for sub box

    Hey all,

I'm thinking of putting a plexiglass window in my next sub box and was wondering about the thickness I needed to prevent/minimize flexing. I had planned on a 10x10 window that is on a 17x18in wall. I will be using 3/4in MDF for the box and wanted to use 1/2in plexi. will this pose any problems for me? thanks

1/2 inch will be plenty. I'm pretty sure the boxes you can buy from audiobahn have 1/8 inch plexi over them.

would 1/8th be enough? I've got some of that laying around but the 1/2 in isn't too bad to get.

audiobahn has 3/8" on all their bandpass boxes. I had 3 different audiobahn boxes and 3/8" is plenty good and hard bass response. :)

Really? I didn't think it was that thick, you're prolly right though.
