Love the car. I always thought it had a sorta bmw feel to it. If I was you I'd get some nice rims... nothing bigger then 17's though. Nothing wicked arrogant either. Something subtle yet gracious.... err...

Its bling blingin' My ex works at the largest realtor in town. Her 02 S doesn't fit in. Everyone has a Mercedes E or S class, a 5 series, or an LS430. I see where you're coming from.

For the tranny swap.. my bro did an estimate on how much i was going to spend and he was talking about at least 3k that's including $300 i'm giving him to do it... he also said that the car has to be tested a lot before i get to drive it... he took a couple of months before he even tested his car to it;s max potential.... i'm kinda undecided now that i test drove a 350Z.... i really want to get a sporty car but at the same time Classy.
And the rolla, i still don't know if i should sell it to my ex or to my cousin.
One thing is for sure., that i'll get a new car before the end of Sept.

Personally if I were looking for something along the LS price range I would much rather go with the new Dodge Magnum R/T. A base price R/T is lower than a base brice LS, had PLENTY of room, plenty of juice from a 5.7L Hemi V8 (340HP), 18inch wheels, and the car looks Mafioso. You can add all the extra goodies and still be at the base price LS and it looks classy.

If I only had the money......but it's still a matter of taste. This is my personal taste, get what you like.

how much is the base price for an ls? cuz the 5.7, you can't get that on the base model its like 8 grand more than the 2.5 6 cylinder.

I would go with the LS, I have been looking at them for a few months now and they are very nice. If I was you I would spend a little more and get the V8.

    Lexus ES300 > Lincoln LS

my dad's ES300 is rolling perfection, and since it's pretty much a Camry, parts aren't too expensive.

blinging in black (not his, but an identical one from google:(

Upgrade yes, But as mentioned stay Japanese. That way you can have the looks/luxury and keep the reliability. Those cars go to hell very quickly and repairs are $$. CW

u plannin on getitng the V8, or V6? if u were planning on geting teh V8 (40k base price) why not look into a GS300? it looks beautiful (not that the LS doesn't) and it's fast and classy. and can't forget the 2jz

So if you get this, does that mean you will not be doing the tranny swap? lol It is a nice car but the body style is a few years old and they will be coming out with a new one soon so unless you are going to buy a used one, you should just wait for the new ones to come out. You also have to deal with the fact that it is still a Ford and I would agree that you can get a lot of nice cars for around the base price of one of those so I would look around some unless you are just getting a good deal on that. Personally I have seen a few of them with a little work done and some nice wheels and I have always thought they are nice looking cars.

If you want sporty and classy, nothing tops an M3 in my opinion. I have driven just about everything out there and this is one car that still gets me excited to get behind the wheel. I think the car is just beautiful all around and you get the class and prestige that comes with owning an M series BMW. You can get a used one for about what you are looking to spend on the Lincoln and I know you would enjoy it a lot more. You should go test drive a few cars in your price range and then pick the one you like the most. There are a lot of good new and used cars out there for $30-40K. I really suggest you test drive an M3 before you make your final decision though cause I think you would be very impressed.
