I've been reading on scionlife.com and there's a number of people who have problems w/ their tC's. Manual owners are already having transmissions replaced due to bad synchros, and other have had their rear ABS lock up, one even got into an accident from it.

Oh, and for that base price, you get:
equipped with a panoramic sunroof with front and rear glass panels, the former power retractable; a Pioneer CD player with MP3 and satellite-radio capabilities; dual front airbags and a driver's knee airbag; keyless entry; cruise control; A/C; power up and down windows; and an outside-temperature gauge. The only factory-installed options are front-seat-mounted side airbags and curtain airbags ($650) and a four-speed automatic transmission ($800).

yo, this car has got it. beef it up with the optional supercharger, and you got it made. Non-sc check out the review:
More and More I'm starting to like this car.

Speaking of the Lexus IS, the tC is nearly as quick as its 215-hp luxury cousin. The sporty Scion scoots from 0 to 60 in 7.4 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 15.7 seconds at 88 mph, only 0.1 and 0.2 second, respectively, behind the IS ("$35,000 Sports Sedans," March 2004). Moreover, because the tC is geared fairly short—final drive is 4.24—its 30-to-50-mph top-gear time of 8.5 seconds is a 10th quicker than the six-cylinder IS's. Talk about "hardly shabby." Against its natural rivals, the tC is equally competitive. To 60, it is quicker than the Civic Si (8.0) and the Mini Cooper (8.3). It's even with the Mazda 3 s and just 0.4 slower than the supercharged Cooper S, which is the only one of the group to outgun the tC to the quarter-mile, nipping it by 0.2 second. And remember, the blown Mini starts at $20,449.

Nice and fast car, much faster than my xA as I got to test drive the asure pearl (baby bluish) standard model last week. I kinda scared the salesman on the test drive though :p

i think i'll wait for the second model. most cars have probs the 1st year they are released, but it is very nice, sporty and sleek at the same time

^ I agree, its a very nice car but I'd wait till the 2nd or 3rd year to get one. I can definately see some 1st year problems w/ the glass roof.

i love all the scions. around here, cleveland area, they are hard to spot. one local audio store bought an Xb in the bright orange and made this inside of it awesome. i've seen an older lady driving a white Xa, normally i don't like what cars, but this one looked nice. one night i got the treat of seeing a silver Xa, the guy driving it was looking at me funny as i was drooling at his car from the turning lane. i have only seen one Tc, i saw it at college. it certainly looked awesome, the back end of it is kinda broad and higset though. also, why does it get such crappy milage in the city?

I am averaging 30 mpg with my XRS. That is sweet considering it is a high revving and high output engine.

I didn't like the way it handled turns. The xrs takes turns much better.
