Retrofitting Projector Lenses

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about doing a projector lense retrofit into my 00' corolla. I understand I need to get a pair of headlight enclosures, and projector lenses. I read somewhere that Audi A4 projectors fit well into our headlight housings? Where can I buy them? I also need to purchase bulbs/ballasts, where can I purchase these and what kind should I get? I know a few members on the board have already done this - did you get the results you expected? How much did this cost?

Thanks a lot guys, I'm still working on the LED tails but i'll def. post some pics when I'm done. I've got myself some 6000 mcd RED 12 volt LED's and a pair of red oem tails w/clear signals. If it goes smoothly i'll do a DIY.

its not as easy as you think.

not all projectors will fit. plus, the ones that will - its hard to find. they are rare.

you can get other smaller projectors... but the output is not as good as the ones i have retofitted.

you can either go with the cheap way or all out. for all out... equipment will run you about 500-600 bucks. for used - its about 300-400 bucks. add another 100 or so for misc items. and at least 2-4 days to do the retro.

if u need parts let me know, i have a extra set... cuz one of the guys on the board bailed on me... and never heard from him since...

what projectors do u have sean?

some discontinued ones. dot/ece valeo single beam projectors. there are different types... but only one set of em are the ones u want to get... they run about 150 for each one.

i forgot... for color wise... the next comparable ones are... the ones off of a bmw... 5/7 series. but they are too big to fit in our headlight housing.
