Blue peal paint on silver corolla?

    Blue peal paint on silver corolla?

    my car club it sponsored by a paint and body place here in my town and i was looking at some pearls they have at thier shop and i was quoted 600 to do my car with the white/blue pearl,

    what does anyone one think, i think i would be diferent

    i think you needa get the huge AEM decal off your hood and get a new front bumper, that is hideous

    It will probably look good. I have a friend with a white 240 that has a blue pearl coat and when you hit the right angle it looks nice.

    i think 600 dollars is going to get you a maaco job where your paint will peel in a year and they wont pull any trim of the car and you will have overspray all over the vehicle but thats my whole thought, you get what you pay for, a fair price to paint a car is 3k and up and trust me its worth every penny of the 3k

    a pearl coat is like a 'clear coat' sprayed over the existing paint to give it more of a glossy look.. he wants a blue pearl coat, so its a glossy translucent blue coat sprayed over the existing silver paint so that it give a blue hue at different angles and lights.. It is not a full paint job so it wouldn't cost 3k.

    I seen it done a lil more often here especially on white cars.. its deffinately a head turner, but I wouldn't do it to mines..

    yeah ive been meanin to do take it off for awhile i just never got around to it, but yeah i was talking to them when they were paintin my friends car http://www.cardomain.com/id/cris_m and i looked at the stuff they had, its like in a powder and they sand the clear off the car then mix the pearl w/ some clear and spray it on, there doing my firends purple altima http://www.cardomain.com/id/altimatepinoy w/ a orange pearl this week for the same price so ill see how it turns out

    and here's the results...

    At night the car looks like a darker grey, in the sun it has an almost alloy look to it...
