I'm sorry but I find this comment to be as ignorant as the comments made by people who assume everyone that mods a Corolla is a ricer.

As far as the question goes. I don't like the body style of the 93 Probe but I don't really like the style of the 96 Corolla. If you want performance over anything I would go with the Probe since they have better aftermarket support (Although the Corolla has a few). Personally I would go with the Corolla but that is only a matter of style (which is your opinion) and reliability.

Yeah but to make a general statement and say ALL domestics and not just Probes are POS's is just like saying every Japanese car is a fuel friendly grocery-getter. It's just plain stupid.

You could have simply said I don't like domestics, but you didn't. You called every single domestic a "piece of shit" (in case you didn't know what a POS meant).

So your calling a 68 Hemi Super Stock Cuda running 10.5 1/4 Mile times out of factory a piece of shit?

No I am not saying that, what I am saying is that all domestics after the muscle car age where crappy.

Actually you are correct. TESTED, the 68 Hemi SS Cuda posted a 10.5 1/4 mile. And yes all manufacturers would not give an absolutely stock car for testing. They usually tweak it a little.

So now the statement has changed from "ALL domestics are a piece of shit" to "ALL domestics (after the muscle age) are a piece of shit". Keep talking. You're becoming more entertaining as we go.

Ahhh yes Turbo4age, but it was offered through the dealership and they did make more than one, which would make it part of their line :)

Is it any different that Dodge's SRT-4? or Mistubishi's Evolution? It's just a faster version of a muscle car they offered, but it is through dealership and not something you would have to do yourself which would make it a vehicle stock from the dealership would it not?

so a lingenfelter vette is stock to you? or a roush or saleen mustang..... they can all be bought at the dealer here in vegas

i get what youre saying, like an svt vehicle or a mopar vehicle..... but if its built by a third party exclusively like hurst back in the day..... its not stock

now im sorry for arguing with you, but i just think it was a poor example...... why not use the new svt cobra that runs 12s stock with some tire and passes smog with flying colors...... thats not a POS in any way shape of form

True, I understand what your saying. Yeah I could have picked a more stock car like a new SVT Cobra, I just love this Cuda. :)

Edit: Oh and truthfully I'm not really into newer American cars so I wouldn't be able to give any numbers on an SVT Cobra without looking it up and I'm just too lazy to do that, but I can spit some numbers on older cars.

I think it was owned by Scott Hill. It was on www.musclecargarage.com but that site doesn't work at the moment. Apparently it was a stock 68 Hemi SS Cuda. I'm trying to find info on it now but I'm not getting anything.

NVM found it. The site is working again.

    http://www.musclecargarage.com/superstockbarracuda.html

    Taken from the site...

This was the first year Chrysler put the monster 426 hemi in the A body car. They literally had to take a hammer and pound in part of the inner body well near the right shock tower to shoe horn the motor in the car. The motor was rated at 500 hp which propelled the car through the quarter mile at 150 miles per hour with an et. of 10.30!

I think his best was 10.5 though.
