    Junkyard Owners

I have been looking for some gray interior pieces over the break and today I went to a junkyard and encountered the most disrespectful owner ever. The workers helped me find a nice, gray, totalled 02 corolla. I was going to buy almost everything that wasn't destroyed, even a front and rear bumper but when I got up front the owner was so disrespectful I wanted to kill him. Never before have I dealt with this, and he had a gun behind his counter and he kept his hand not far from it the entire time. I mean, I know he's a red neck, but the hostility was uncalled for. He disrespected his employees (younger white guys) and everyone around him. he quoted me $400 for a complete, used interior with airbags blown in steering wheel and passenger side. the rear door were in below good condition, but everything else was ok. Man, he can keep his crap.

its people that call caucasion folks rednecks that gets them all uppety. if i was to say nigger spic or gook it would infuriate said race as well. now, im not upset nor do i care that you folks said redneck, because i say nigger spic and gook. im just letting you know that thats why some folks are hostile. either that or they are simply ignorant.

good to hear, more people should do things that way...on a positive note that old school way of thinking is slowly fading away as people become more open minded, so theres hope yet.....

and yes i have seen those films, and pretty much grew up in the inner city

    ehh

going by your description of how he behaved...that's how ALL junkyard owners are. they don't call them junkyard dogs(not referring to the guard dogs) for nothing...

I wanted parts to convert my car to power windows and locks, but this one junkyard said they'd only sell the entire door, not just the parts I needed. Then they had the nerve to try to charge me $100 EACH for the doors.... I told them no thanks.

This is in Atlanta, where I go to school. It's a decent junkyard for 93-97 parts, but they just charge an arm and a leg. It's on the corner of Metropolitan and Abernathy in SW Atlanta if anyone is interested.

the dash has had the airbag blown... 400$ for that??? cmon now, i know you guys don't think thats a good deal. plus, some pieces have moss build up on it, i am thinking 150 MAX, my int. looks great as it is. this purchase would need a lot of attention to the door panels and the dash is all but unusable. all the money for the dash is in the airbag is it not? and its gray, its no S, and its manual.
