    Guess what is coming to town to compete with Maxima, G35 and TL???

    Sure sounds funny, but Toyota is close to launching a competitor that will go head to head with Maxima, G35 and TL. You guessed it LOL!!! the Toyota Avalon! ;-) The 2005 Avalon is about to be launched and it has a 3.5 L engine with almost 280 HP under the hood and close to 290 foot pounds of torque. I saw a hard copy picture of the 2005 Avalon. The car looks a lot sportier than the any of the previous Avalons, but sadly Toyota's designs are getting ridiculous day by day. TL and Maxima still look better than sporty aspired Avalon. I was turned off by looking at it.

    Even if it has that powerful engine is will still be mated with a automatic tranny. it will never be a sports car.

    i like it, plus it has a ton of room...... not everybody wants sub/compact cars like all of you do

    and the picture you posted of the kia looks nothing like that "avalon"

    why cant you all accept that its much nicer looking than the grandma wagon previous versions?

    I just read on a page that this picture is a hoax. There is some artist who cleverly took the 2006 GS 430 and Prius pictures and then put together this picture himself. The facts about the engine size and power are true though.

    I GOT IT NOW!!!! This moron who actually crafted the picture of the new Avalon took the backend in the mid section, the low front hood and hell even the wheels from the mitsubishi Galant and then replaced the head lights with the Toyota Prius lights. That is just plain nuts.
