    how much for 00-02 corolla?

i have a passing idea of getting a 5 speed 00-02 corolla and using it as a beater/car i can blow up.

Is it possible to get one, under 50k miles, for under 5k? I don't care about trim and toys. I intend to put i/e, 75 shot and drag radials later down the line. :p

Yeah..blue book on mine is $4115, and that's a '98 CE with just under 150k on the clock. With the parking lot blemishes fixed, it'd be ~$4554..

Heh..it'd be cheaper for me to sell mine for 4k and buy yours instead of turboing mine, wouldn't it.. :p

    Ah well.

I just got an 02 LE for 10 grand, but it's mint ice cream(condition). So, I figured I'd pay a little more for it

everyones ambitions are bigger than wat the rolla can offer. Hondas, Nissans, older/faster toyotas, and mazdas already have a big aftermarket. And the cars that the aftermarket supports are in the same price range as the rolla. Its only smart to go in a cheaper path than be a trailblazer...and finding custom manufactuers yourself.

but aftermarket aint everything...if i had a few extra g's i woulda gotten a Celica Gts over any honda...even tho the aftermarket support is low.

Toyota can be very proud of me. I got a 02 Corolla LE and then traded for an 04 Corolla S last year after turning professional and now that I make enough bucks (ahem! ;-)) to afford some of the more expensive cars, I still will be trading my 04 Corolla S for an 05 Corolla XRS that I will keep for atleast 5-6 years and maybe get a second car (most likely a Lexus) during this time. Now that is product loyalty ;-)

Check car auctions, your be able to pick one up for 5K, but I dont know about mileages. Why find a low mileage if your just gonna blow it up later?

If you are looking for a beater car y are you looking at a corolla....? look for an older 240sx or something that has more power out of the box.

Well, the sticker price would be higher as well. I would say around $7000-$8000 more.
