headlights is fine with 55w, but 100w is bad for you and you shouldnt install it...

a lot of those headlights from japan have writing indicationg 100W, but it acutally says it's 55W "being equivalent to" 100W, that's what it said on my 9005/9006.

maybe if u get a picture for it and it will be better for others to help you

I know I should have asked first, but will 100W damage the wiring?

I've heard that it will, just want to confirm.

geeh christ... 100 watt? u doin off road drivin or something?

even at 55watt the reflector will get burnt...

and when i had aftermarket 55 watt bulbs my harness and plugs got burnt and melted away....

100 watt?? no way... even if u got heavy duty wiring harness... it wont work cuz ur headlight housing will get fried.

I had 130W on my last corolla for years, never any problems (except tickets and angry drivers in front of me).

I would say, scrap all those "xenon" bulbs, they burn out in 2 months of use. Get Silverstars for the headlights and PIAA Xtreme white for the turn signals. They match great when illuminated...all white. The PIAA bulbs are blue, but the illuminated color is white, not blue-white. Unlike APC, which we all know is crap.

If they're H4 or 9003 bulbs, that means 80W for low beam and 100W for high beam.

i bought 9006 Nokya Arctic white bulbs a while ago (they are amazing quality) but they draw 80freakinwatts, and that surely can melt your oem wiring..which is why an aftermarket harness is needed... but i drove about 5-6 months with them and havent had a problem- it just depends on how long they are on-the more night driving you do, the more risk.. this is why i switched to EuroDezigns, which i got for dirt cheap on ebay and they pass DOT regulations (like sylvania) and draw only 55w and are just as bright as the Nokya's... oh and sometimes those "JDM" bulbs say they draw 80watts but give out 100w intensity b/c of the tech in the bulb...
