    04 Rear disc brakes

Just when I thought I was done modding my Rolla....(yeah, right! :D ) I came up with a new idea. I'd like to put on a rear disc brake kit....but, I run 17" wheels in the summer and 15" (stock) wheels in the winter. Anyone know of a kit out there that will fit my requirements? (Before anyone asks.... I kept my OEM alloy wheels & tires for winter snow driving. Fuzion ZRI's don't work well in the snow). Thanks.....

just get the OEM rear disc conversion... same size as stock. David (hoolala) did it to his Rolla, looks sweet as hell. PM him, he'll probably hook you up with where he got his from. (probably a matrix or celica conv. kit)

yea.. i have it on my car...
    go to http://www.cardomain.com/id/hooolala

    but there are two problems,
    1) this kit will not fit with stock wheels.
    2) DO NOT install this kit if you don't have the front big disc brake conversion. it's a big safty issue

you should be able to do that... the MATRIX Rear disc might fit as well,

but the problem with this is that, it's like impossible to find the parts, and even if you find it, it will be hella expansive

the matrix rear disks probably won't work. they have a different master cylinder. this is the same reason the trd big brake kit doesn't fit on the rolla

Thanks for the suggestions guys....went shopping today, 2 shops wouldn't even touch it and the local dealer said they could do it but around $2600 (that's changing all four to large rotors), I think that kind of cash could be better spent elsewhere......

$2600 for all four big disc brake? and including installation?? that's hella good deal man..!!! especially if is installed by the Dealer..

    think about it..
brand new Rotora brake (front only) cost around $1350 (and their brake is the cheap is one you can find)
SSBC Rear Disc Conversion (Rear only) cost another $800
plus about $600 to $700 of labor.. the total will comes out to be about $2850

well.. you can just change the rear if you want to... but i don't think you will like the feeling of doing fishtail/drifts on the freeway or during emergincy braking..

it happend to me.. that's why i'm putting the front big brake kit on...

What type of brakes would the dealership use? The trd big brake kit (which trd says won't fit) costs close to 2000 by itself.
