    omg my poor car!!

so yeah, i finally took my car to the shop the other day, after a few months of declining performance; not gettin as much power (as if there was much to begin with), transmission feelin lazy (stupid automatic), etc etc

told them to do a tune up, cause it hadn't had one in a while, new spark plugs and stuff, you know, the usual. i also had them clean the fuel system and stuff.

they also informed me that my exhaust manifold was cracked in half

and they also had to replace an o2 sensor

she's running much better now, lol

wow, at least she running better.

At least you didn't kill all of your injectors and plugs at once like i did this week.
    That was fun

Aww...I hate to hear that but I just had the same problem. I took her to the track and the first time I ran her, I started wheel-hoppin' big time and straight cracked the turbo manifold right below the flange! That really sucked but I have gotten it welded back together for the time being till my mechanic can build me another.

i think this problem normal for 93-97 corolla w/ cracked manifold cuz i replaced mine early this yr... mine was cracked rite in the middle and when the warms up to operating temp its got no problem cuz it seal up itself but when u start the car cold it'll sound like sh!t... my mechanic said i drive too hard, but my 2 cents is that the manifold can't get the heat out fast enough...

I had two exhaust manifold break on my 94...its a chronic problem with that manifold. Get an aftermarket manifold instead of the OEM....trust me. The toyota manifolds arent built up to par for some reason.

    header for 93-97 rolla: www.ssautochrome.com

i had the same problem except mine was a fairly tiny crack between cylinders 2&3. you could hear a sort of wierd noise coming from the front when driving, but it never caused any problems. noticed that when i put the header on...now the whole damn car is one giant noise when moving
