Once a month I use meguiers process, consists of there car wash solution, paint clear, poilsh and there wax. To clean my rims I use Grease Lighnting.
And for towels all Terry Cloth, I also use a synthetic chamoisis to dry the car.
Every week or every other week I use Eagle One's Wax as you Dry.

What do you use to wash/detail your car?

I washed my car yesterday because it was really starting to look like an eye sore, and it actually came out pretty well.

I used a Turtle wax car wash solution and washed the car twice to get rid of the layers of dirt, especially in the areas just behind the wheels. Then I used a paint cleaner to get rid of some fine scratches, which is step one of Meguiar's three/four step detailing process.

The other steps are Polish, Wax and there was a 4th bottle my dad had, but I can't remember what it was.

Anyway, I didn't have time to do the other steps b/c I had planned to go out later sunday night, but the car looks great so far. Do you guys do anything differently when washing/detailing your car?

well i wash my car first, dry it with a towel. then start waxing the car with black magic liquid wax. 2-3 coats of wax, then applied again black magic car detail. and again 2-3 coats. and finish up from there.

I use Blue Coral car wash soap, dry it with a chamois, then use Nu-Finish polymer wax. I've used nothing but Nu-Finish for the last 10 years. One coat, 30 days later a second coat and it's good for about a year. (Michigan is tough on car finishes, but this stuff works for me)

My routines pretty much the same as nates, except I do the whole meguiars thing only maybe every 4 months. Comes out AWESOME (My car looked incredible before the Seneca Meet!)

for regular washes I use Turtle Wax Wax N' Wash and Eagle One Wax as you dry.

Oh and Mothers or Meguiars for scratch remover.
