make sure the center bore of the wheel fits snug against your hub, otherwise, you'll shake like a biatch at highway speeds.. you can get hubcentric rings to fix the problem..

    Help please

Hi guys I am a newbie on this forums.
I just got my rolla, and was wondering if acura 2001-2003 EL 15" rims will fit ok on my 1995 rolla. The EL rims is 4X100 bolt pattern.

has anybody done this SWAP on their car? thanks for your help.

they will bolt on just fine. offset might be an issue, but probably not.

lug nuts will be fine. the bolt pattern is 12x1.5mm, and that has nothing to do with the wheels. factory rims always use fat ass lug nuts, so you dont need to change those. you dont really need hubcentric rings either, just have soemone hbelp you hold the wheel in the center while you tighten the lug nuts.

oh no problem... it took me a while to understand this as well- basically, the center bore-the hole inside the wheel that "fits" on to the hub thingy sticking out will be loose unless you get the metal rings that act as supporting peaces to make the wheel actually fit snug agaisnt the hub...now dont get me wrong, you can certainly drive w/o the rings, itll just shake a lot-thats what happend to me with my older rims..once i got about 60+ mph, it started to shake the steering wheel... first things first-just try one on the hub and see if the center hole fits snug against the hub...if not call these guys.. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/d...oriesWheels.jsp they have the sets for sale -cost me 15 bucks for a set.. 1800 # toll free...and very good customer support..

also: do you have lug nuts? ones thatll fit YOUR car's lugs and ones thatll fit inside the wheel's holes...

damn... I didn't know these much before I purchased those rims... :(
I guess i will find out on wednesday, after i got my car and give it a try.
so the stock corolla wheel lug nuts will not fit the EL rims?
that means i would have to get lug nuts and hubcentric rings then..
    wuwuwuwuwuwu centric rings are ok..
but after the lug nuts...it's 15+45=60 and not including shipping.. ouch :(
I have to forgo many other mods that I had in mind then...
but thanks samurai.. you give me the info first, or else when I go to that mechanics on wednesday I would think he probably jsut bsing me.. :p

since you have a 95, you need lug nuts that have 12mm * 1.5mm size..whatever your getting MUST state that- since the stock lug nuts are rather bulky, they sometimes dont fit in tight holes in aftermarket wheels- so you may need to order some aftermarket nuts- i got these for my 16inch babes.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...item=7909902087

are you sure it will cause that shaking problems at highway speeds?

damn I already got the wheels... so even if it's 4X100 same bolt pattern it will not fit properly?

what's a hubcentric rings btw.., sorry for the newbie's trouble.

is 96 corolla the same 12mm*1.5mm size?

hm..I am not sure if the rims will need the nuts, because it's acura factory rims. so I am crossing my finger, hopefully the rims don't need extra hubcentric rings and lug nuts :(

i know on my rsx, teh lug nuts are pretty large, generally on most stock rims, the lug holes will be large enough, so don't worry about taht.

one important thing is, i don't know about EL to corolla, but i know a guy who put IS300 rims on his RSX, and he ahd to bore out a lot of the rim because it wouldn't fit around teh hub, so it might be kinda loose from a honda to a toyota, not sure on that.

all 93-97 corollas/prizms, even newer ones should have the same lug size...

hey Samurai... I just did some research...on ebay, acura and subaru and toyota and many other cars use the same lug size..

I think i might be ok with lug nuts...but maybe the hubcentric rings..
phew I really want to get some exhaust system..
