ok, so i have been using turtle wax ultra gloss on my tC. it goes on great, it covers swirls and knicks really well and it makes the finish look and feel great...but it only makes it that way for about a week. i washed my car last week with turtle wax zip wash and waxed it with turtlewax ultra gloss. it looked awesome.

i washed it today, because it had accumulated alot of road salt and junk. then i dried it off with my new microfiber drying cloths, very nice to have. i noticed that the water didn't barely bead on the surface anymore. it doesn't have half the gloss it used to have and all the swirl marks and knicks are back to showing again.

so, turtlewax ultra gloss is awesome if you don't ever drive your car. thats my conclusion.

i want a wax that covers swirls and actually protects the surface. the swirls and knicks i will remove eventually, the correct way with light rubbing compounds and swirl removers.. i need a wax that lasts.

i'm thinking about getting a synthetic paint sealer, like klasse all in one. it covers light swirls and seals the surface with an acrylic, i think. anyone ever use it?
then i would follow that up with some P21S carnuba wax

Hm, I used to use the Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss too and it was pretty nice when I used it. Currently, I've been washing, claybarring, and them waxing my car with Meguiars Tech Wax every week. It shined a lot nicer than my Turtle Wax did. I'd recommend it.

Other than that, most waxes aren't made to last forever. I claybar and wax my car every week and I have to do it because it gets so dirty. But I also put close to 800 miles on my car every week. You'll just have to try out different brands to see what works for you and your needs.
