Don't waste your time. The ebay units are made out of marine exhaust blowers that don't produce enough output. The very best of this type can be found here:

    http://www.electricsupercharger.com/

Even that one is capable of only 1 PSI of boost. To do this, it drains 60 amps of current from the battery. It can only engage at wide-open throttle. They claim a 5% HP gain, which would be roughly 6HP.

Since the unit on Ebay only produces half the air output as the one above, I can assume the best it could do is around 3 HP @ 1/2PSI of boost. It probably would restrict airflow though and negate everything.

not necessarily. if you want to get an electric supercharger, don't get an ebay one...get one from a reputable company(and it'll cost a bit more, but you get what you pay for).

if you buy it...well, i'll be looking for your rant/vent post about it in a little while.

for 150$ you're better off getting an exhaust or a cold air intake

Don't waste your time or money. Unless they can post real charts with significant hp, tq gain. Forget it. Some people have already tried this and it definitely not worth anything over 50 bucks. This is just some fad that is going to blow over by the end of the year. If it really did work, the pros would to running and recommending them. Please guys, use your common sense.

Your engine is a much better air pump than that little fartfan. Just open the airways to the cylinder head...

think about it, they're stupid enough to tell you that you don't need to make any modifications to the fuel system. more power requires more air AND more fuel.
