    Just ordered tires..

4x Falken Ziex 512s - 185/60/14. Total of $171 and change after tax/shipping -- purchased from EdgeRacing.com. I was looking at about $400 for Bridgestone Potenza RE950s or Yoko AVS ES100s, so I figured I'd give the Falkens a shot..and buy an underdrive pulley with the money I saved..and I'll still have spent less. :p

They're going on 14" 93-97 Prism alloys (5.5" wide). The stock tire size for 98-02 Corolla LEs is 185/65, so these should fit. If not, I have a problem. =)

I was going to buy a set of Michelin T-Plus tires for 100 bucks from a friend (nearly new), but they're 185/70s..I didn't want to try that.

Hopefully these will work great -- and for 35 bucks, they don't have to last forever.

oh-they should fit fine- apparently the prism's are a little thicker, stock wheels on corolla 93-97 is "mostly" 175/65/14...

I've got a 01 S and I just bought 195/60/14 Nitto NT 460's I'll be getting them in next week and i'll have they mounted and balanced ASAP. From what I hear they should fit.

Let me know how you like the Nittos -- maybe I'll try something else next. :D

$9.99/ea at Pep Boys..I paid $18/ea (Pep Boys didn't have time before they closed, and I wanted to make it to the track).

195s should fit, but I wasn't sure if the extra width would affect cornering at all..so I stuck with a 185.

Will do. From what I hear falkien's are really sticky and have some of the best dry traction, I went with the Nittos because their wet traction. I got in an accident with the stock tires cuz I hydroplaned with about 1/4-1/2 in. of water on the ground...only goin 15-20 MPH, and then almost did it again last week. So I am gettin out of the stocks asap.

My Falkens corner better on a wet road than my old (well..nearly bald..hah) tires did on dry.. ;)

You should be happy with pretty much any performance tire when you compare it with worn stock ones.
