You can get them reupholstered, but that gets pricey sometimes. I just painted mine black with fabric paint and it looks a hell of a lot better. Also, if you have manual windows, you might want to consider upgrading to power. That way you could swap in the nicer door panel from the DX/power window equipped models.

If your car does have the manual windows. Its very simple to dress them up. I basically just tore all the cloth off of mine. Then used a little bondo to smooth out the wood base. Then tweeded the pannel. Another thing that makes a big difference is window cranks! Look at my car to get an idea of what I'm saying.

Where did you get the window cranks at? How much? I painted mine black but they keep chipping.

93corolladx i got mine from ebay.. I'm not sure how much they were. But I think they were somewhere around $30? Just go on ebay and check they have a few different kinds to choose from.

Sting My dash is covered in tweed. Its a type of fabric that is used in a lot of mini trucks. It looks really good if its done right.

I ripped everything off of the stock door panels. All you'll have left is a piece of basically cardboard. Then I wrapped the new black fabric over it using fabric adhesive and staples to hold it tight from the back side. Then cut a few holes in the new fabric for things like door handles, window cranks, screws for arm rests, etc. Key is to try and keep the fabric stretched as tight as possible so it doesnt wrinkle up or anything. Thats about all it took, hope that helps.
