    Exhaust Done

I go my exhaust done this weekend. It's a full 3" exhaust from the turbo back. 1 magnaflow cat and 1 flowmaster 40 series muffler. Exhaust is sturdy now, both 02 sensors installed. It still rattles a little but not much, I'll have to figure out something. No leaks in the exhaust. The turbo is leaking a little oil, I'll have to take it off and fix it. It's leaking between the turbine housing and the 5 bolt d/p adapter, but the good news is the exhaust is complete. I'll try to get some pics later today.

takes some pics of your oil leak... hehe i've been trying to track down a leak on my car for 3 weeks. Not dripping anywhere, but son of a bitch every now and then she leaks some oil onto the turbine housing and she smokes! blah!

That's exactly what mine does. The only way I found mine was I kept seeing oil on the inlet inlet flange (between the turbine housing and manifold) So I knew it was dripping form right above it. I put some RTV on it to get it to stop...it worked but I"m still going to take it apart and fix it.

like I said - take pictures like a mofo. I'm hoping mine isnt a seal thats gone - would suck. However, I could fix it if I had a rebuild kit or something.

It sounds awesome....it doesn't sound like a killer bee or a weedwacker. It really deep....I love it. It's not quiet, that's for sure.

Yeah, it took a lot to get turboed, It took a lot more than just spending $3500 on a peice of shit kit. When I first installed my turbo kit, I ran like ass. It took a lot of work and a lot of fabrication to get it to run right.

I'm not real worried about horsepower, I will get it dyno'd sometime though, I'm just hoping to be in the 14's somewhere with this setup. Eventually though I want to be in the 13's.

I would..... after my muffler fell off, I was thinking so hard about just runing a straight pipe.....I don't know why I decided against it. It was really loud anyway with no muffler and and only 1 high flow cat. The flowmaster didn't quiet it down that much, but it helped a little. Plus I like how the flowmaster looks with no tip, it looks nice and stock, like a normal muffler.

hehe yeah, i'll keep my resonator and my muffler - wayyy too loud w/o em - but the cat is gonna have to go. at least for 2yrs until i need to run emissions again. LOL

get the magnaflow high flow cat... its great mine was like 3 pieces of screen door and a striaght pipe... LoL its almost a straight pipe... also got magnaflow resonator and exhaust all high flow of course....

also if you smoke does it only smoke on shifts?? Mine does and im not burning any oil... just when I shift since I have a MAF the fuker runs super rich through the shift... doesnt adjust fast enough so you might not actually be burning oil!

also if your leaking from the side it may be getting past the seals or your seals could be bad! Now you both have relatively new turbos... do you have an oil pressure regulator to the turbo?? I mean turbos want 30 - 40 psi max on oil pressure and our car can make 70+ so you need a regulator and that will help a lot!!!
