H4 Harness for 93-97 JDM headlights

I don't trust my own wiring, as I have no experiece wiring things, so I'm looking to buy a harness from someone who has made one before. If you have some experience with this let me know and we can work something out.

This is for a harness to convert 9006/9005 headlight sockets to H4 BTW.

Well the ones here won't give you a high beam, so no deal if that's what you were planning to do.

Actually, it would be the ones in the link above. I didn't realize there was no highbeam till you pointed it out. I made a harness for hazer's car and the high beams work (at least it gets slightly brighter), but the high beam light is always on in the dash.

The way you worded that confused me. Did you actually use the harness shown there or did you end up making one? Does the hi-beam dash light stay on constantly, no matter what?

I dunno who you were talking to, but I made a harness tonight. It wasn't that hard and I get to keep my high beams.

I bought 2 heavy duty H4 sockets from from Pepboys, one for each side. Then for each side I took the base from a 9006 bulb and a 9005 bulb and broke the bulb part off to expose the wires. Now, the H4 socket has 3 wires, one for ground, one positive and one negative. I connected one lead of the 9006 base to the positive wire and one lead of the 9005 base to the negative lead. Then you connect the ground wire to the unused lead of both the 9006 and 9005 base. Voila!

Look at the page here for a visual of what I'm talking about. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/269600/2

That's how I made hazers harness. I followed the directions on that page exactly, and it didn't work until I hooked up both ground wires though. After that, the high beam dash light stayed on.

I tested it with just the low beam (positive wire and ground connected to the 9006 light) and it worked though.

We should probably have this moved to the style section since I'm not looking to buy a harness anymore....

Yeah, but the high beam didn't work for me until I connected the 9005 neg wire. I think I might try to isolate the ciruit using a relay.

To either Vamp or Ninety Four, how much would you charge me to make one for me? I suck at wiring :)

The heavy duty H4 harness is what I used too, cause the thicker gauge wires help. You can get that at pepboys for cheaper than $20 though. Yeah, I just made sure to add alot of solder to the leads so there was a good connection. Also, use electrical tape and patch up the connection to make sure there's not a short.

I'd be willing to make more harnesses, but they'd cost $80 shipped.

I don't know exactly how to read electrical skematics, but I did it essentially the same way the guy on cardomain did. All I can say is that I made sure the connections that I soldered were very stout so the lights wouldn't be dim, but I'd have to see how bright yours were to compare. Also, I bought a "heavy duty" female H4 harness and soldered that onto the wires of broken 9005 and 9006 bulbs. So, the broken 9005 and 9006 bulbs go into the OEM harnesses like normal and then they are wired into the heavy duty H4 harness which is connected to my Nokyas.

Mine are a definite improvement over the old headlights (bluer than silverstars), but the beam is pretty far to the left, even after I try to do some adjusting.
