Anything to make the car faster?

Okay, I got a 99 corolla automatic and here is my setup.

    01/02 TRD Body kit
16" TRD wheels with 205/45/16 Fuzion ZR1 tires
    TRD exhaust
    Front Strut Bar
Short Ram Intake w/ heat shield
    hose dress up kit
    underbody neon blue
    custom mesh grills
    tinted windows
    Kenwood excellon sound system
    reverse indiglo guages
    eurolite driving lights
    varad door alarm led
    bosh platinum +4 plugs

what else can I add to the engine to make it faster without having to buy turbo?

The only stuff helping you go faster out of all of that is the exhaust and the ram air. You can get a header, a custom cat back, .... what else? Do internal stuff etc.

well you only need one, since you have a 4 cylinder...and try ELPrototypes...avoid the OBX one.

well, in theory it does...ELP keeps saying they have one...

and someone mentioned(altho i'm way too tired to remember who or when) that OBX makes one.

I know its so hard to find freaking parts for my car. I love it to death but man, if you find parts, they are either way too expensive or you have to make it fit.

um... and get rid of the +4's.... go get some v-power NGK's or go to the dealer and get some stock plugs.... only heard good things about them from european car owners (and i DO sell them at the parts store i work at).... everyone with american/imported cars all HATE the +4's for whatever reason

yeah I'm thinking about going with ngk, but not sure which one to get. I'm not sure either why people don't like the +4's they seem ok. I thought they were good, but I guess not for imports atleast.

tranny swap :) follow the rest of us tranny swapers in our quest to go faster...but for real only thing u can really do is get a full cat back and not just the muffler like that TRD u got... right now your SRI is gonna be sucking balls cause its getting hotter but itll run nice when it gets cold...as for headers there no company out there that does thats gonna be a custom set up...looks like our gen of rollas got fuked over and all the new gen rollas are getting all the performance shit...the thing is if we have a big strong amount of people with the same year rolla as ours then comp. will give our rides thought and make stuff for our rides as well

yeah I was kinda thinking of that too. The 98-99 corolla's got screwed cuz they came out with the corolla S. That's when they started thinking performance and left us to hang dry. I think magna flow makes a catback for corolla but will that work with the trd muffler? Oh yeah what does the tranny do? is that short for transmission?

    tranny is short for transmission.
a corolla is an as slow car. an automatic corolla is an ass slower car.
and if anything, the corolla S is slower than a corolla CE, because it has power everything and moonroofs etc... there is NO performance difference betrween the S and other models at all.

I know that all I am saying is that injen made an intake for the corolla S, but don't have any for the regular 98-99 corollas.

that's because the S existed in 2001, not before then.

Jaaaaaaaames...remember, not all Ss had the moonroofs and whatnot.

but i agree, no performance difference...it's a trim level...and it's all freaking cosmetic.

the only difference I notice with the S vs. the 98-99, Injen made a nice intake for the S, which became a big misconception because alot of people sell the inken, but they forgot to mention that its only for the S which have a completely different air sensor.

uh...no it doesn't. for the 01/02 model years, the only differences between the S and any other model is the INTERIOR and the sideskirts. EVERYTHING MECHANICAL IS IDENTICAL.

ELP has been in the R&D phase of their 1zz header development for EVER.

OBX has a header on their site, but I have never seen anyone with one. If you order it it probably never comes.

For Gen8 Corollas all power options are options on all trims. The S doesn't come standard with any power options. The LE is heavier and the S is the lightest, but basically the same as the CE. I don't know why people always misconstrue that. The S was originally conceived as a stripped down car, and so was the lightest trim level. With the 03 redesign, the S became just as heavy as the LE, which was a mistake IMHO.

the S isnt the lightest, and it supposedly has a "BEEFED UP" suspension than other trim of rolla...but as far as performance.....ehh Ill still spank one unless its modded up :) and the only diff is with the S is it has a VVT engine and well ours dont but 5 extra ponies and cosmetic shit aint really all that. I just find if funny when people tell me they got a fast ass rolla and when I ask its a type S like its some Type R integ or Civ or some high performance engine in it... but yeah our rollas are slow but NOT THAT SLOW...hmm but you know from seeing everyone getting a new car on here and realizing how old my car is 6yrs old with 54K miles its still fairly new but eh maybe Ill save my cash and invest it into the TC

We know about that, and somebody used to even try to sell them. But nobody knows if they actually fit, cuz nobody has seen an example, pics or IRL.
