    MSD Iginition systems?

Are they worth getting to reduce the lag on an automatic car? Anybody used them before? any comments?

I don't see how it'll solve your problem... an auto is going to lag no matter what. :)

well according to my friend who had one, he said that its like an amplifier to boost more spark to burn the excess gasses that are being recycled in the engine which causes the lag. so I'm not sure if its worth getting.

no.... they work just fine...... mine is a waste because the car is n/a and has no greater use for it.... i will probably pull it out of the ae92 and run it in the aw11 when i turbo it.... just like i did for the adjustable FPR i took out of the ae92 as well

I think the MSD is a great idea for my 2T-C with a single coil and a distributor-- but the modern TDI gives each spark plug its own coil, hard to improve on that, really...

advance auto parts should have it, they are pretty much universal but get the MSD 6A since its the safest to use and works with 4 cylinders.

Now that I have the MSD spark plug wires do I have to get an MSD distributor cap also since it wont fit the stock cap. Do I also need to put an MSD ignition coil?

um.... what msd spark plug wires did you get? i'll check... i might have a 4/7a-fe cap that has removable wires (as in, you could use the msd wires)...... i'll sell it for like $10 if i have it (like 6 months old)
