The Official 93-97 Tachometer Cluster Swap thread

ok....just did it in my car....works great....i think the new cluster came out of a 94 auto tranny....i have a 97 5 speed.

so far, so good....was trying to work on how to swap the odometer from my old cluster to the new one....the new one only has less than 60K miles on it and mine has over 125K hehee....anyway....not sellin the car anytime soon, so i'll be fine.

alright....who wants to do this swap or who's done it? let's hear all the good/bad/ugly things about this....

    ok? ok....

btw....i'll be getting another tach cluster soon that i will be selling on here/possibly on ebay. so if anyone is interested....lemme know.

i havent done it, but i got a spare one lying around if anyone wants it :p only downside is that it's in km not miles.. i had a friend who did it... in the higher models it's just a straight swap, the wires are all there all it's doing is swapping a clock for a tacho.

will add u when i get home from work... there are a few little tricks to the swap if you have a lower model... but nothing too dramatic, just involves tapping into one of the diagnosis wires as the car is made for a tach to be hooked up..

I'm interested. Been looking for the cluster with the tach. But no luck.
