Did your sister write down the information of the person who backed into her?? I mean, it is the other guy's fault. He should pay for the damages??

yeah she did, she got everything..tomorrow insurance is comin over to take a look at it..it's really easily fixable, just replace all the parts..but i'm sick of this car, got broken into once, they took my deck and cd's, got into two accidents, and it always feels like it's falling apart..i'm sick of this car

Yeah, if you do not feel comfortable with this car then it is best to get rid of it. On the brighter side, you have the 2000 Civic Si, which is one hell of a good car. The best of the Si saga :)

my garage only holds 2 cars, and i have the rolla and SI, my dad has his truck that he needs for work, he's a carpenter, and he keeps all of his tools in the bed, so he doesn't want to park it outside..usually i keep the SI inside also, but this one time, i was washing it, and i left it out to dry..so i was like oh what the hell..i'll leave it overnight, since i gotta go out tomorrow anyways..then i woke up and it was missing..i was about to go off on anybody that looked at me funny..i'm sure they have been scouting me a while..maybe neighbors, maybe not..but either way..i had the feeling of killing somebody

eww that sucks. well you got to do what the insurance company says. it all depends on what they think it will cost to get it fixed. totalling it might not even be an option.

i got some pics of it..i litterally cried that day cause i loved that car so much..but good thing they didn't touch my engine, cause i got a JDM b16a2 in there with an aem cai and magnaflow catback exhaust

No doubt, does your SI have a good aftermarket alarm? BTW, what are the numbers of your SI?

i am guess it is an engine import from japan. but i went to many salvage auctions and police auctions and found many si's like that.

i haven't dynoed or anything..i got a viper alarm..but they cut the wires when the stole the car..you can see the wires in the engine shot, if you look at my valve cover, see my blue cap thingy..look up to the firewall, and to the right a bit, you'll see a red wire that's cut..that was my alarm..i'm gonna reposition my new one under my headlight or something away from reach..and relocate my hood release wire

but for performance, i only got AEM CAI and magnaflow exhaust on a JDM b16a2

a good reason not to let anyone else drive your cars - i sure don't let my family touch mine, but i like your si too, get the corolla fixed though if only for better resale value

a b16a2 is a civic type r engine straight from japan..fortunetly, i got mine from a guy that didn't know much about honda engines, and thought it was a USDM engine, i traded him mine for his and i got 200 dollars along with it..cause it had an aem intake and comtech headers..plus the jdm b16a2 is more hps and more torque..

if you look at my engine, it says DOHC VTEC and the DOHC is in bigger size than VTEC, that's how JDM engines are..but my friend's SI, has a USDM engine, and the VTEC Is bigger than DOHC..

Oh ic, cool, your car must be pretty fast. And if thats a Civic Type R engine then you really have a Type R instead of a Si :) Anyways, was it expensive to put it in?

I would suggest for people to start getting the viper 2-way alarm. Thats what I got and damn everytime my alarm goes off I am by my car in seconds with a baseball bat. No one has tried to break into my car yet but when and if someone does break into it they better have a cell phone to call an ambulance cause their legs will be broken and they wont be able to get to a payphone. My brother has a done up mustang and thats how he caught someone trying to part his car. unfortunately they ran off before he could take care of them himself.
