The picture of the red car is the Alessandro Volta and not the Supra. To tell you the truth, I would hate it if Supra looks like that. Supra has always been a racing car that you could drive to the shopping mall as well. This Alessandro Volta is just a publicity stunt by Toyota to show their muscle in the Ferrari or Lamborghini enthusiast market( though, extremely small). It will never sell. With Supra discontinued because of rather less than stellar sales, Toyota will never make the same mistake again of making a very expensive Supra. If Toyota does build it, it will be relatively competitivel priced.

    2007 Toyota Supra

Since the Supra departed the market about 10 years ago, Toyota has been without a high-performance sports car. That's about to change. At the auto show held in Geneva earlier this year, Toyota unveiled the Volta concept car. The Volta was created by famed Italian auto designer Giugiaro and it could serve as the Supra's replacement as early as 2007. The concept car features a carbon-fiber body and chassis, making it extremely light--under 2900 pounds. The sports car also uses a 6-cylinder version of Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive that makes more than 400 hp. And engineers were able to make the floor flat, so there's room for three seats. With its light weight and impressive power, the Volta should be able to give Porsche and Ferrari a run for their money. With the hybrid drivetrain, the Volta should have fuel economy numbers to rival an average 4-cylinder sedan and get about 400 miles on a tank of fuel--a rarity in this class.

    2006 Toyota Corolla Verso4

Folks at Toyota see a hole in their lineup between the Matrix and the RAV4. So they will bring a version of the Corolla Verso4, already on sale in Japan and Europe, here to plug that gap. Intended to compete with the Subaru Forester, the Verso4 will have all-wheel drive, and power from either the Corolla's 130-hp 1.8-liter 4-cylinder or the 161-hp 2.4-liter Four found in the RAV4. A hybrid model using the drivetrain from the Prius is another possibility.

    2005 Toyota Solara Convertible

Thanks to our spies, we got an advance look at the new Toyota Solara convertible. The convertible, like the coupe, will be Camry based, built in Kentucky and offer a choice of engines. The base model will get a 4-cylinder while uplevel models will get the 225-hp 3.0-liter V6. And like the coupe, the Solara convertible will be sportier than the Camry and come with 4-wheel disc brakes as well as more luxurious trim.

    2006 Lexus SportCross

The next model to wear the SportCross badge will be larger than the current RX 330 crossover SUV. In fact, it will be based on the newly introduced Toyota Sienna minivan, according to our inside sources. Expect the new SportCross to have a very large sunroof, room for seven, and ample storage space. Because it will be a Lexus, it will boast the latest technological and luxury innovations. Initially, power will be from the familiar 230-hp 3.3-liter V6 paired with a 5-speed automatic. Down the road, look for a version of the company's 4.3-liter V8 and an automatic transmission with race car-style paddle shifters. Lexus's IS 300 currently wears the SportCross badge, but it will be replaced by 2006.

    2004 Toyota Sequoia SUT

At first glance, this truck looked like a Tundra development test bed. But a closer look by PM spies revealed a Sequoia front bumper and taillamps. Surprise! It will be Toyota's answer to the Chevrolet Avalanche. It's unlikely the Sequoia SUT will offer a powertrain other than the 240-hp V8 found on today's trucks. And, this truck looked nearly finished to us, so expect to see something like it in Toyota stores soon.

and it's likely we won't see it here...as usual.

I actually read that Toyota said the Alessandro Volta IS NOT the Toyota Supra. If there will be a new Toyota Supra, it will be more in the Nissan 350Z etc. class.

isn't the voltra the hybrid that has like 260hp but gets 39mpg? Also note the carbon fiber chassis. Either that's gonna change to aluminum, or that car isn't going to be a production car (expensive)
