Attn: owners of aftermarket front sway bars...

Ok, I've looked and looked and i havent really found what im looking for, but im sure you guys who have them can help me. The hotchkis swaybar set that vpower has listed...is that for manual trannys only? Also, TL steel, I keep hearing about them...how do i contact them to get prices on their sway bars? And do they make front AND rear bars for our 98-02s?

    Thanks for everyones help.

It's for both manual and auto. I ordered a set from NOPI over a month ago, but Hotchkis is still in the production process without any ETA. Arrg. Just go to NOPI and order a set now and hope you can get in on the current production so you don't have to wait as long as I have.

The reason i ask is cuz i know the japan trd ones only go on the manual trannys. So, Hotchkis hasnt made them yet? That sucks.

tls steel makes both front and rear bars for corollas. what you're thinking of that wont fit on automatics is the TOMS front tie bar that someone was trying to sell on here before.

I ordered a hotchkis kit and everytime I call the dealership I ordered it from, they say "end of next week"

I've been calling for 6 weeks.

no kidding, when I get a set later on in the year I'll be buying straight off the hotchkis website. not too much difference in price from the couple of places that I've checked.

Our cars have sway bars already. The hotckis ones are stiffer and prevent less body roll. Our cars also has a front tie bar, but again, it's not as stiff.

Tie Bar - A bar extending from tie-rod to tie-rod in order to strengthen and stiffen the suspension. And a tie-rod is a bar or bars in some cases, connecting the pitman arm, steering knuckle and idler arm.

Sway Bar - Also known as the anti-roll bar. Connects both sides of the wheels suspension. Its main function is to keep both wheels rolling at the same rate when meeting bumps; but it also affects handling. A front anti-roll bar increases understeer and a rear bar increases oversteer.

I have a 22mm rear sway bar from tlssteel and am very happy w/ it i kept the stock one up front so the car rotates better(more oversteer)

Cost about 145 I believe- They alsomake a 19mm if 2 is too stiff for you
